and i'm not sure how long it hasn't been.

i've been so busy with the cocci that i just noticed today that either the turner isn't turner (old lg turner that worked fine the last time) or every single time i go in there, it appears to be in the same position.

i'm not sure how many times a day the thing moves, and yes, i can hear it clicking, but to me they still look about the same as this morning.

these eggs have been in there for 8 days. if it really isn't working, is it to late for them?

or do i just take them all out of the turner and start hand turning?

god this has been a heck of a week

Your eggs still have a chance, even if you're early on in the incubation process. I want to say that they rotate every 4 hrs, but don't quote me on that. It's best to ck it at random times throughout the day to see if it's moving. If it's not, you can buy a motor from www.cutlersupply.com. In the meantime, you DON'T have to take the eggs out, just move the rack a little bit several times a day. You can stick a little piece of newspaper rolled up in between the racks to hold the rack still at whatever position you need - hope the visual is working for ya, it's kinda hard for me to explain.

The turner in my Little Giant incubator turns so slow that you can't see it move...yet over time...it changes position.

if its clicking your motor could be bad. mine just made a humming sound and didnt move, if it is not moving disconect the motor and rotate them in the turner three or four times a day.

I'm guessing if the motor is clicking, (ratcheting), that something has gotten stuck . I would look at the turning arms and make sure there isnt something stuck that would prevent the tray from turning.

These turner motors are gear motors, cheap motors use plastic gears. You could possibly have a stripped gear, which would probably mean replaceing the motor. Something had to cause the gears to strip, so check for obstructions first.
