My two Brahmas stopped laying!

So, 7 months ago, I built a new coop, rat proof I might add! One of my Brahmas went psychotic on me and stoped laying! And she walks around grumbling now. 3
months ago, my 11-year-old Plymouth rock finally kicked the bucket and my other Brahma became depressed and she stopped laying! Is there anything I can do to encourage them to start laying? Should I bring them home a rooster? Chicks? Pullets? The Brahmas are two years old.

Adding new birds isn't going to make them start laying.

It could actually cause further delay in egg production if things don't go smoothly. How's your setup? Could they be hiding their eggs? What do you feed them?

Also unlikely you could "kick them into gear" at this point in the year, as they'd be slowing down with shortening days (assuming you're in the northern hemisphere?) My guess is they'd pick back up towards late winter/early spring.
