Yes? I fear it may die please help. Should I put antibiotics in water? Ointment in eye ??? Both? :( :/

Sorry no one has replied to you. It also looks to be swollen? Do you have other chickens? Do you notice any other symptoms in this one- wheezing, sneezing, runny nostrils?

I too am having some eye issues. The last two pics looked normal to me. I bought eye antibiotic gel at Tractor supply. My girls eye issued cleared in afew days. I also isolated her when I did it because I didn't want her to get others sick.

Hello
Thank you for the reply،no problem at all.
It's so weird but after two days I noticed that they are well :) The one with the problematic eye just seems to be good. Thank God.
I really face so many cases every year just in the eyes, so you recommend antibiotics if there are red around the area of the eye and ointment in the eye if it has problems inside" liquids and so".

By the way they are about 2 months old + , when can I know the gender of every one?

Just remember that eye swelling and bubbles in the eyes can be symptoms of respiratory diseases. When symptoms go away, it does not mean that the disease is cured. Respiratory diseases make your birds carriers for life. Hopefully your bird just had something to irritate his eye but keep a watch on them for other symptoms. Here is a helpful link that describes some poultry diseases.

If you can get individual pics of your birds, you can post them on "What breed or Gender is this" and someone can help you with sexing them. It may still be too soon but they can let you know when to repost.
Good luck !

Best wishes to you :) super full answer. ..I'll keep thrm under supervision :)
I'll ask when they are 3 months old... they will know, God willing.

Hello again
It seems to be true what you have said. My bird was opining it's beak a little this morning and not so active, I think it has a respiratory disease. What do you recommend?

I would isolate the sick one for now. Do you have any antibiotics on hand? I treated mine with Duramycin-10. It can be found at feed stores and Tractor Supply Co. It's a cheap antibiotic but does work well for birds that haven't been on them before. The dosage my vet gave was 5 teaspoons per 1 gallon of water for 7 days. For treating one or two chickens I would only mix a half gallon at the time and change it daily to get the best dosage for the birds.
You may want to find your local State Poultry Lab or call your local Ag Dept and they can help you find an Avian Vet. They may be able to do testing to see what you are dealing with and the best options for treatment. Unfortunately, respiratory diseases in birds can't be cured so most will tell you to cull your birds. There are options on keeping a closed flock (no birds out and no new birds brought to your property) and proper care for sick flocks. If you need help finding a vet, let me know what state you live and I will be happy to help you find one.
