I just don’t understand. Yours didn’t finish highlighting either.
Yes, but....Because you have a PFM, you can change your user name by hovering over the account tab and select Personal Details. Go down to Settings and select User Name Change. Follow the directions and you can change your user name. My recommendation is that you do not use an apostrophe in your new user name.
Right.I don't know if the rules have changed, but member have been permitted to change their user name once.
I heard dat! Ain’t nobody gonna remember “crooked letter, crooked letter, i, hump back, hump back, i!”That's weird, why should we have to do that??
Cause like who the hell would know....or remember
Maybe a mod can fix it?
I just used the regular apostrophe (’) when setting up my name. I never knew I could hold the key down and populate a hundred such things. Dang! I feel utterly stupid now. @sourland, I’m joining you in ‘techno illiterate’ land.Y’all, it’s the difference between ’ and ' ... the first one is the one in @Mimi’s 13 's username.![]()
PFM members can do it once a year. Regular members only once.I don't know if the rules have changed, but member have been permitted to change their user name once.
BTW, that’s a great catch, Kayla! As attentive to detail, OCD that I am, I don’t think I’d ever have noticed that, much less figured it out.Y’all, it’s the difference between ’ and ' ... the first one is the one in @Mimi’s 13 's username.![]()
What?!? Are you a coding brainiac? Those pesky things are called »quotation marks« and they are my nemesis!!!
You have an installation document, written in M$-Word which lists a command like
ls -l '/mnt01/oracle database' single quotation! The @(*#$^%$#!! auto-correct of W*rd changes that to ls -l `/mnt01/oracle database’ - i call it the double fly-sh*t. And yes, that dumb computer doesn't understand that!
Yeah, I did notice that and agree. Or either we’re resurrecting them from the dead. (No ill will intended.)I wouldn't worry too much about irritating the other person, they have only posed like 7 times in 11 years so I doubt they even know they are being tagged.
