This is my first ever experience hatching quail eggs. These eggs were shipped. I received 75 of the most gorgeous button quail eggs today and set them in the incubator. It's a Hovabator still air with turner. I had no idea these eggs had so many colors. There are greens, pinks and purples and every shade of brown, all speckled. I understand these buggers hatch out at 16 days. The temperature at 99.5 and humidity around 50% til lockdown. I will put down the non-skid shelf liner when I transfer them off the turner on day 14. I'm so excited! I told my partner these were all for my Dad, but y'all know I'm gonna keep a few. Shhh.

The eggs are really pretty! The only quail eggs I've ever seen were Bobwhite eggs, and they were white.

I'm hatching for someone else, except for the couple pair I'm gonna keep once I figure out which are which. No way could I pair even half of those buggers.

I like your idea with cutting the bottom of egg cartons that holds the egg itself to fit in the cups in the turner!
Brilliant Idea!

Oh that looks like you are going to have some real variety! Will have to post some pictures of those tiny little babies.
