@aart Sorry just meant the northern/southern California boundaries. I appear to be on what some people call the dividing line. But I should put that stuff in my profile.

@darina we really need to be getting snow right now. This is actually a really poor winter for most of the state. It may be nice now but summer is going to be awful. There will be droughts for sure.

Got the rest of the fencing done before work yesterday.

I think its going to work out too. No incidence or even the visual cue from them that they are going to try to get over it. They do all just hunker down at some point in the day close to where their tree is on the other side. Its kinda cute and sad at the same time.
More friends coming in from out of town. Havent seen them in two years. And they havent seen most of what's going on out here. It should be a fun day, don't think I'll be getting to much done once they get here so I'll cram what I can in now. Speaking of goodweather quick shot of the green onions before I go.

That rock looked like a gator to me for a minute with the curvature LOL

Huh. Looking at it now I guess it does. Haha
Well heres the tree they used to hangout in before I put up the fencing.

I'm going to try and make something suitable for them today. Already have my cedar round for a base and a decent amount of cleaned up live oak for branches plus some bushier stuff for the top. Figure a chainsaw, drill and a reciprocating saw should do the trick. Bucket of screws and assorted drill bits. I did a quick sketch but it was awful so I'm just going to wing it. Now just waiting for the Misses and baby to wake up so I can get loud out here.

Well here it is. Certainly not as pretty as the real thing. But looks like they are into it. I did spread some treats to encourage them. Lol.

Here's one from the garden yesterday too. I'm sure they think I set these up as their own personal day spa
That is awesome! Silly Birds!

Been a lot of activity the last few days. But I got a few things done. My buddy headed back down south, he was a lot of help and we managed to get a few games of disc golf in. More work on the boxes

got one whole row dug out. Happy for the help there. Also got my thyme and a blue berry transplanted

and I sifted through 5 small paper bags of basil seeds to separate the chaff and put some in a burpee on the porch for an early start.

think that covers most of it. Out of town tonight and tomorrow morning. Girls are penned up til we get back. Still nervous about not being there tho.

I'm sorry that you guys don't have a good snow pack for this year, but that ground looks so enticing! Your blueberry looks great. Mine is still in the "twig" stage.

So I got home just a little while ago to let the girls and Rosco out, already the middle of the day, all of which were eagerly awaiting my arrival. Not an hour goes by of everyone doing there business as usual routines for the day and I hear Rosco raising holy hell outside. so I run out to a red tail that has landed on those stacked planter boxes while they are running from the opposite side, where they dust bathe. Took me about 20 mins to find them all in different random spots afterwards. Thinking about hanging up CDs I have about a crate full of useless ones. Maybe a scarecrow too. Can only do so much deterring tho. I will defend my flock.

Mesh covered run is good to have about now...after a while the hawk will move on.
