Fun! I always just used a kiddie pool for the ducks!

'water access only'?Big plans for the duck pond include expanding its size, adding a water access only duck area, new waterfall, small coves in the deep end for future plans of fish, and a good canopy over the top to cut down on tree leaves (pretty bad today when I cleaned it out).
Like channel they can get into without allowing them access to the whole pond?@aart I use a decent sized pump for my waterfall which I turn onto the garden. However yesterday it just went into the compost. The drainage pipe would be a great improvement to scooping the muck out at the end with a bucket. And the "duck only" would be like a reverse pier idea with no dry access. And I'm in the sierra foothills.

I've got a small pre-form pond my ducks use - and regularly find eggs when cleaning it out. So good luckOh I don't plan on trying to pen them up. Just wanted to give them an enclosed shelter that nothing else can get to but them. Wishful thinking for their egg laying. Already found 4 spots on the property where they've layed. Including the pond edge itself.
