the break down of packing the bird up was pretty simple, and this was from the receiving office 'bird goes in a plastic bag, bag goes in a box, icepacks are added along with newspaper last thing in is printed standard form'. I happened to have a styrofoam shipping box for mice available so I used that instead of newspaper and a cardboard box. Still got a bunch of icepacks tho. I didn't ship it from the post office directly but a shipping store. They made me fill out a separate FedEx form as they can't be held responsible for shipping a carcass. Davis gave me their FedEx acct. # for the lab so I spent a dollar at the store to have them wrap it. Davis doesn't charge for backyard flock necropsy under a thousand birds, Two birds same day. Only charge I may incrue is the shipping fee that will come directly from Davis. AttimusJust out of curiosity, if you care to share, what's the packaging procedure and cost of lab work?
