My vet

Some of you might of seen I had Norman my barred rock cockerel put to sleep the other day.
Severe bad legs count even stand

It was heartbreaking but I got this from my vets office today

I always wondered if they were like it's just a chicken. but both times I brought him there they were so nice and caring
And yes they thought he was so handsome lol
 
It means so much when the vet & staff take the time to acknowledge our loss. Our vet did the same thing when I had to have my beloved border collie mix put down. They'd only seen him twice, before that, but he was so sweet & handsome that they all loved & remembered him. They sent the nicest note. I'd post a picture, but a few months later, that was the first thing our new puppy ate!

so sorry:hugs It's not easy putting them down, even to end their suffering. But it was the kindness thing.

Yes it was the best thing. I tried to think of everything before that choice oncldijfi maybe I can just carry him around . but that isn't the life a chicken should live ☹
