I just thought I'd share it with you guys and thank Miss Prissy because her 'bators have inspired me

I get to transfer my heat lamp experiment into a bator lol. Its been running for about a day without the eggs in it and I think I've just about got it stable. I'm on day 14 and I was only trying 4 eggs at first to see if they'll hatch or not (pullet eggs) and so far they're all dancing

looks great but is that bare wires on the back of the light if so may want to put a bit of electrical tape over it. may get a little supprise. thats the same temp and humidity gauge as im using. are you using it on the indoor out outdoor setting?

it's not bare wires, I think what you're looking at is the one coming from the fan and it's got a clear jacket on it. I think I've got it on outdoor.

It looks great! Are those toothpicks? Could the babies stumble into them?

I'm really interested in seeing how this hatches!

yea but I think it's high enough and I sanded the points off the ends that are on the inside. lol the only reason I used them was because I couldn't find any screws long enough. I might replace them with actual screws before the eggs I have in it hatch.
We're on day 15 and I candled a few minutes ago and had one of the 4 quit on me, but the other 3 are kickin' strong from what I saw. They're due on Tuesday
