Sorry! Didnt realize. Ill get them tomorrow hopefully! Thanks Pixie!

I recently got 2 about 3 wks old chicks and i want my chicks to be healthy when the grow up. They are currently on the game bird starter food. Is there anything else i can give them at this age? Any suggestion BluegrassSeramas.

Hi Jessi, you guys really know & work hard with your birds...wow Hey, did you get my sad PM....Steve

YB192004, make sure you are crushing your starter. I do this for atleast a month or two. I have been told that you can scramble an egg every now and then for the protien, but I think the crushed game starter should be enough.

I usually check them when Im at home, because a lot of times I have to write down info in my records. Ill check it now...

Sometimes I add a little water to it and mix it up and make a mash..... you just have to make sure to change it often so it doesn't get gross.

(I like to stir in a little poly.vi.sol or yogurt sometimes too)

Im hoping all these make it. Their little toes were pretty bloody and everyone was walking on their heels or sitting on their bottoms. The other one of Mr.W's chicks was shaking and all huddled up. I moved him under fake hen by the lamp. I hope he makes it. I only had 2 of W's hatch, the rest were either duds or died in the shell just before hatching.

This is so depressing. I was so excited to see these four grow and to see who got the frizzled gene and all. They were the only chicks I had from a pair from my line only.

There are still some of Napoleon's chicks in there, but he is with Ticket (new blood hen) and I dont know her ancestry. So its going to be a toss up of what we get with that pair.

The rest are from trios, and its hard to know who the Mom is.

Maybe if they all survive, we can start over with Napoleon's chicks. you guys can see what happens when I cross my line with an SCNA bird...

I hope I still have chicks when I get home...
