My White Leghorn pullets are very friendly!

My seven week old white leghorn pullets are so friendly (I have two). I am a first time chicken mom and am raising two white leghorns and two sapphire gems from chicks. My leghorns are WAY more friendly than my gems. They will even fly to me if I put my arm out. Unexpected, since all the research on leghorns says they are super flightly. A pleasant surprise! Hopefully they stay this way after puberty!

In my experience, white leghorns are docile and friendly, even ex battery are nice and friendly. I really don’t understand where the bad reputation comes from…

so far my white leghorns have also been very outgoing and friendly too! they used to jump out of the brooder just to be held. Now that they have the big space outside, they would rather run around but sometimes we can get a hold of them and they'll just sit in my daughters lap.
