I am having trouble with my transmission plastic parts inside stripping out. The gear itself doesn't but the innerds are.
I am using an old wash machine transmission. Any ideas what I can do?
What is everyone using?
It will work the first time, then we shut it off and restart it and it strips the plastic levers inside.
Any help would be appreciated.
No I'm sorry in my plucker. I was making it out of a wash machine. It spins the first time but nothing after that then we tear the tranny apart and find the white dog is stripped. We have done this 3 times now so I don't know what to do. Any ideas?
Interesting, my father used to build a fire under a pot, stuck his finger in it to test the water, dunked the birds and then set them out for us kids to pluck. Worked just fine and didn't cost a thing, lol.
Oh drat! I need a scalder and I just let a neighbor's free hot water heater go right off to the landfill. Why couldn't this topic have popped up new yesterday?

Reta, you seem to have posted to the wrong thread. this one is about scalders. There are a couple of threads about pluckers, or you could start your own since you have a specific problem you need help with.
