My Wife Thinks I May Have Been Influenced By Muppets

We never had tv growing up so I never even got to see the muppets until I an adult and then I watched the muppet's movie with my kids. Was their a regular series too? Well, ok I guess I shouldn't say we didn't have a tv...what happened was my sister was pushing me in a wagon inside the house and we accidentally ran into our brand new COLOR tv which we had for exatly ONE week (which is when I fell in love with the Flintstones). We broke it. My dad said that we could not afford a new one for years...and he never got a new one for us

but never seen the muppets.

oh the memories!!!

I used to watch so much tv with my dad. The Muppets, Flintstones, Hogans Heroes, Creature Double Feature(Sunday mornings after church) and the Abbot and Costello movies.

I am going to have to add things to my Netflix que

I love the Muppets too even the Xmas one with John Denver! Even the one with the 12 days of Xmas with the chickens bawking after the five golden rings!

My daughter loves the Muppets and Sesame Street...wonderful programs for me and her to watch.

The today's shows are not as good as the old ones, I agree with that!

The Muppets is an excellent show, lots of talent, and great sense of humour. It was the only good thing on TV when hubby & I married. We would watch that show after dinner.

I loved Sesame Street since it first came on I think in '68 or '69 ? Ok I just dated myself.

There was a weekly series that was set up like a talent or variety show with a real human guest star each week. Kermit the Frog was the host. There was a house band. It was chaotic and nuts and hysterical! We've gotten a few dvds from our library. If you get a chance to see some they're lots of fun! Netflix has lots of them. (I know I keep recommending Netflix-not a plug-just happen to know they have the show!)

I named one of my first hens Camilla after Gonzo's chicken. She was my most favorite hen of all time

I watched the videos he linked and thought "No wonder, PC is purple..."

I love the Muppets. I don't get to watch them much, and I didn't watch them much growing up, but I remember them a little bit from the few times I've watched them.

There is a Muppet Theater that I went to somewhere, was it Disney World? but you would sit in the audience and watch the stage.. Statler and Waldorf were positioned on a balcony to the back of us and of course made comments on the whole show. LOL

Statler and Waldorf (The two old farts in the balcany) Love those guys...

I used to work with a woman who thought that Waldorf was named after the salad.

Um yeah. Because that makes sense.
