My window just broke!!!!!!!

Or house, like yours is barely over three years old and the windows are still covered under the warranty. IF and its a big IF you tell them that there was condensate in the inside of the window for several days before it broke. Then it is a seal failure which caused the crack. In our case I foolishly said I didn't know what caused the crack so they decided it was a stress crack which would only have been covered if the house had been less than three years old GRRR!! It is three years and three months old!

Even so, it was $250 to replace the broken pane.

Dang...I'd open the window if it was 80 something in my bedroom too!! Put on some winter clothes, woman!!

Closing the register completely should do the trick...sometimes you have to check the baffle in the main duct. There may be too much hot air going to his bedroom in the first place. My DD's bedroom was always freezing with the a/c when the rest of the house was fine. The a/c guy changed the baffling and it's fine now.

It happens with extreme fluctuations in temperature. Not much one can do about it except replace the window.

We turn on the AC at 75-80F!!!! I start to die at 75. You're indoor temps are higher than our normal summer highs. Amaizing.

We keep it at 66-68 inside for winter and am wearing a sweater.

Good luck!

Probably can't afford to buy heavy winter clothes due to huge fuel bill.

Why would you judge someone you don't know? You don't know her financial situation. Jeez

LOL but of course........duct tape, JB Weld, and WD 40 are all we need.

The house was 3 years old in November so ours is a bit over 3. There was no condensation though.

I have very thin blood.....have actually been asked if I was a hemophiliac before. I don't have a problem with heat. I set the AC on about 80 too.

My electric bill is nice and low in the Summer.....HUGE in Winter. Thankfully my hubby doesn't complain. He understands me.

It's alright, I didn't get offended by what Opa said.

I know what he meant! The electric bills are definitely outrageous around here in the Winter. However, we plan for it every year when it is warmer.

But, thank you Jennyhaschicks.

I do appreciate you defending me, too.

Don't feel alone, I went the only 18 degree morning we have and one of my outer windows was broken. Hope no more happen to either of us.
