jjamerb you are famous.... I have been looking on here for coop ideas and came across yours. So my sweet hubby went and picked up 16 pallets and he is getting started on it this weekend

. He said that it was the neatest design he has seen so far. I AGREE. Cant wait to see the rest of your pictures. Hey if you have any tips for us please let us know.....

I just now realized those were pallets. Dang pallets are HEAVY! My uncle brought some over a while back for me that he found on the side of the road. I was building a coop and asked him to keep an eye out for some. It took all I had to drag just one of them around behind the house to use. I couldnt imagine putting together a wall of pallets then having to push them up in the standing position. How in the world did you do that?!

They are so heavy and my hubby lifts 3 at a time out of the truck no wonder in the morning "OH Honey my back hurts"....... Gotta love him cant wait to get ours started and see jjamerb finished coop

so i snapped a pic of how the front is looking now.

Yes i found some tin in our barn and made one. It's a little off center...lol. Hard to hang by yourself, but it definately worked well in the down pour we had last night.

It really wasn't that bad to get them upright. You do need at least another person to hold it steady while you put some braces to hold into place. I put them together close to where they would stand so there was less moving. The base of the pallets are pretty wide so it will stand well until you get some braces in place. Did the back wall first, then sides, then front.
