I have a young white crested black polish rooster whose leg looks broken. It's visibly bent in a wrong direction, what should I do? He is very skiddish around humans and it's tough to catch him. Catching him would involve making him hurt his leg even more by running away from me.

What can I do? Should I just catch him, put him in a pen solitary from the other chickens but near them so he can see them until he heals? Any advice will be great, thank you.

He made it up the chicken ladder into the coop, but not on his perch. He has settled for one of the nesting boxes. I think that is a perfect place to confine him with food and water, what does everyone else think?
