go for the showing of the rooster.
When we brought ours in he was the only one of his breed.
And he was dubbed and did not get DQ ed i was surprised, the judge took him out and looked him over and got circled 1.
We just wanted to bring him to show off his tail, and it worked.

I bought a pair just like these from Tommy's Pet Paradise. They are just beautiful birds. These two look just like mikne xcept mine are a bit older I think,

I raised mine in the house for a few weeks when I first got them and I handled them everyday. They quickly got to where they would come to me and get on my shoulder like a parrot. They would nestle down by my neck and go to sleep. Now when I go in their coop they always want petted but not always let me. What ever the roo does the hen will follow. Mine are 4 months old. I wish I had a recent pic. He has gotten so beautiful. Fiona is very pretty too but the roo has more coloring and is just georgous. HIs tail feathers are over a foot long already. I plan to raise several and sell them.

I have very very sad news.
I was travelling to CA for the last 2 days.
When I got back last night DH told me that Phoenee was no longer with us.

Here's the story.

About 11pm 2 nights ago he went out to go encourage the chicks up into their coop. The two neighbor dogs were trying to dig around their coop! He freaked and started throwing rocks at them. They ran away and the baby chicks were fine, but the door to Phoenee's cage was open.....It is a difficult latch, but this dog has a history of being able to open latches!!!

DH found what was left of Phoenee and marched it right over to the neighbor's house even though it was 11pm. He told the neighbors that this was unacceptable and that it was Karensa's favorite bird and that something had to happen. He says he's taking those dogs to the pound.

I'm going to go over and talk to him personally today now that I'm back. I need to know that I don't have to worry about those dogs anymore.

I just don't know what to think. That bird was super fun. He would sit on my shoulder and I could give him kisses. I feel aweful.
