Mysteriously Disappearing Eggs + No Hatches

Thanks. I was worried they would injure them I found another chick egg externally pipped that wasn't due until the 20th. Little baby didn't make it. :(

I forgot to mention that the hatching duck (which is still doing AMAZING!) is actually the egg with the fracture! She looks like s/he's zipped but for some reason with both Number 4 and Number 5, they have very brittle shells after they start pipping and Number 5 is basically popping out of a membrane more than a membrane and shell. Is this okay? When s/he pipped we could literally brush off half the shell. But since s/he's doing so well it's probably fine.

She also seems to be freaking out randomly. She cries out as if she's being eaten and she rapidly flaps her wing thats also out of the shell. Is this normal? Is she dreaming? Or is it kind of a safety measure, just in case?

My profile picture was taken MINUTES ago and already Number 5 has almost all of their body out! OH MY GOSH I AM SO EXCITED! S/he's absorbed the yolk and blood vessels and has popped out of the egg! Now we wait until s/he's out comepletely!

One last update. The other three eggs have to be dead. No movement, no veins, no internal or external pipping, and their veins have disappeard. 1 duck out of 13 eggs is...a pretty horrifyingly awful hatch. lol

Tht baby is reaaalllyyy close how r they doin. I have about another week or so for my girl... Cmon ducky!!! Sorry about the others. :hugs

She just needs her shell pushed and she's hatched. If they're a girl their name is Feta, and if they're a boy their name is Oyster. If you get why, then tell me. ;) But please cross your fingers for a girl!
