Mysteriously Disappearing Eggs + No Hatches

HELP! She got her tooth through but isn't moving or peeping or anything now. Was she not prepared? Is she absorbing the yolk? I'm really scared she's dead! Also, the membrane above her tooth kind of just slid off when I looked under it. :(

I don't think she's dead but I am worried sick. I need a pro to help me right now!

Relax, really RELAX... Maybe go out for the day if you can't leave them alone...

Many times they pip then take a good long deep nap before they start to zip... Until 24-36 hours have elapsed after the external pip with no activity there is litttle need to worry, just give the chick a chance to do what they do... After that external pip they need time to absorb the remaining blood and yolk, rushing it could be fatal...

If there is absolutely no more progress after 36 hours then you can have concerns, until then it's time to sit and wait...

hopefully you took the above advice, several of are trying to help, but you need to relax, leave them alone and go do something, I can promise if you keep messing with them you may very well kill them......

We contacted the person we got Cheese and Quackers from. Turns out they "forgot" to tell us they were daughter/father. Is this causing the deaths? Lethal gene, maybe?

I dont think so . I know it isnt healthy but I dont think it would weaken ckicks to the point of death

Well it sadly did weaken Number 4 to death. :( Another one pipped and its peeping pretty loud. Of course I am not getting my hopes up now knowing that the past owner left out important details! Is this a good sign or yet again am I witnessing another truly awful death to a completely innocent chick?
