Okay they are 6 1/2 weeks! At what age do bantams start to lay? Is it sooner than standards?

No, not any sooner than standards. It varies with breed of bantam. Probably around 20 weeks, maybe a bit earlier.

Aww, that little EE cockerel is adorable.

It almost looks like he has some Japanese Bantam in him with those little legs and the tail shape, very interesting little guy.
