So I had a mystery girl smuggled in with my Russian Orloff eggs.
She hatched out of a tan/brown egg, was chipmunk patterned at hatch, but has taken on more of a grey color and has a greenish tint to her legs.
I'm in the process of seeing what other breeds the breeder has, but until then, I was hoping for some helpful guesses.

Here she is at 5 weeks (I know she's probably on the young side)
Thanks in advance!

Yes...find out what the breeder has...my first thought was EE when you mentioned green legs, but the chick does not have any beard/muff...although EE's can not have those, unless you know EE in the background, if you don't see the beard/muff I don't jump there first....especially if Russian Orloff might have been the other side...surely that chick would have had some sort of beard/muff.

So...thinking on partridge colored chicks...with molting down and the legs shift in color in the photos..Really hard to say.

The breeder will be able to give you a good idea.

Until then, my best guess is Barnevelder???? Maybe?

There are going to be a lot of single combed, barred feather, yellow legged, clean faced EE in the future since Cream Legbars are becoming more plentiful...

I have a Cream Legbar/Brown Leghorn cockerel that has a single comb, barred feathers, yellow legs and is clean faced. He carries a blue egg gene, so he is technically an EE. :)

It looks like that chick has a cushion comb. So maybe Easter Egger x (rose comb breed)
Cushion comb is very likely. Especially since that's what the Russians have. It's that or a very under developed pea comb lol
It's definitely not a single.

I hadn't thought of that...good thought.
She almost looks like the Legbar chick I had but...obviously she's not, since she hatched out of a brown egg
And no crest
