I ordered 20 whiting true blue pullets and received a mystery chick. They vary so much it’s kind of hard to tell which is the mystery chick. This is the only one that doesn’t have another chick similar to it. It’s a tad smaller than the rest but not bantam sized. The gray areas are actually silver gray but it doesn’t photograph well. Anyone have any thoughts?

P.S. The legs are yellow/orange, I forgot to photograph that.

I agree that the grey is actually going to be blue.. and my first thoughts were EE or blue laced gold (not red) Wyandotte.

Looks like it has cheeks to me, so I'm leaning more EE.. but admittedly sometimes it so hard for me tell whether I'm looking at bearded or non..

With the whiting true blue being a hybrid.. maybe they're all the same breed, including the free one?

If that's a pea comb, I'm gonna say it's a Whiting True Blue. I received my WTB order a month ago, along with a few CCLs, a BCM, and some black australorps. My free surprise chick was a salmon faverolles cockerel.

I had a chick colored like that as a chick, and it was a WTB. At least half of the WTB had muffs and beards. I had one WTB that as a chick looked just like a CCL cockerel without the head spot, but it had a pea comb and turned out to be a female WTB.

Are you sure that chick is your surprise chick?

No I’m not lol. It’s the only one without another chick looking similar to it.
