Mystery Chicks

I ordered hatching eggs that were French Black Copper Maran and received those plus two “bonus” eggs. They were lighter brown and speckled. The two with the chipmunk-like stripes are my “mystery” chicks and are smaller than all of the others, (two Maran and one Lavender Orpington and one from my Blue Laced Wyandotte). I’m trying to identify these two so any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Do you have a picture of the eggs? I’m thinking maybe Wellsummer, only because they have speckled eggs.

Look them up on the Meyer Hatcheries website. The chicks are also chipmunk patterned.

Do you have a picture of the eggs? I’m thinking maybe Wellsummer, only because they have speckled eggs.

They are the speckled ones in the middle-the dark ones were Marans the chick from my Blue Laced Wyandotte is still attached to that shell. I’m keeping Welsummer on the list, but not absolutely sure yet. I’ll add another picture since they’re older now.

I looked there-they’re much like the Welsummer but wasn’t sure the coloring was spot on and these are tinier than my Blue Laced Wyandotte, the Marans, or the Orpington. Are Welsummers much smaller? The eggs were same size.

I’m not sure, I have never owned any Welsummmers.
