Number 2 actually is my smaller (legged and size) bird. I figured she was a banty. I hope she is not a roo. The farmer said that the birds they were giving away were between 4-8 weeks of an unknown breed. They were loose all over his pastures (hard to catch). Her legs look odd in this picture but they really are smaller. When we were chasing the birds, I picked out the smallest combs with no red...some of the other ones had the reddest combs but since I like to keep my neighbors happy I chose the most hen like ones. Hopefully she is truly a hen. Once we find a farm to purchase we will gladly get some roos. We just need to decide to get a farm where my dh can still make a living.
As for chick number 3...I chased that one the longest. I just loved her coloring and fell in love. She was definately the hardest to get. I will have to look up Fayoumis. She is definately very unique.
