The first babies have hatched.
Egg 5 hatched out under the hen, and it has a white underside and black on top. Super cute.
In the incubator, eggs 7 and 8 have hatched. One is black, the other is pale grey, maybe lavender. I want to say the black one is likely from the mystery egg, and the light grey one from my flock, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
All of the mystery eggs have hatched, and I'm still waiting on two or three from the splash hen. In the incubator hatched 2 light grey (I don't know if they're splash or lavender or something else), 2 seemingly black, with black skin. One of the black ones I'm sure came from the splash hen's egg, which only confuses my further. Technically, if my silkie roo managed to get to her, he could've passed on fibro, but I'm more interested in why they look black. Though, maybe they're dark blue, I'll report on that when they're more dry and in better lighting.
There's also one from my splash girl with chipmunk stripes, so at least I got one in the color I wanted lol.
The broody hen's chicks look completely different though. If I remember correctly, they're all with yellow undersides and black or blue backs. I didn't want to disturb the hen right now, because she has one more unhatched egg and I don't want her to start walking with her chicks yet, but here's a little picture for you
