Mystery crowing?

I have 8 mystery chicks from MPC. They're almost 5 weeks old. (I don't know what breeds or sexes, that's for another post) so, on to my question. At what age do they start crowing? I'm pretty sure one is trying now. Let me explain...
I leave for work about an hour before sunrise. Yesterday when I turned on the outside lights to do the chicken routine I heard what sounded like a turkey gobble. I live in a rural area and turkeys are around, so I didn't pay any mind to it. Since it was only once, I figured the light startled a turkey roosting in the yard. This morning same thing, but it came from the coop. I was within 2 feet of the window and there was no mistaking where it came from. Could one of the chicks be learning to crow at 5 weeks? And could his first attempts sound like a turkey? It stopped once I opened the door so I couldn't see who it was.

Had a Silkie crow as early as 4 weeks... but read of a chick starting to try at 3 weeks... had as late as 7+ months.

In other words... you bet they COULD be trying that early!

They can start early I haven't had one that early but it's definitely the right time of day and they are shy about their crowing at first they won't do it much took me almost 2 weeks to catch my first time crower on audio it sounded like hiccup! Sighhhhh

I think my 4 month old (yesterday) BO is about to start tuning up.

Thanks everyone for the response. Coming up I'll be posting pics to figure out what I have. There's only about 3 breeds I recognize, and apparently MPC didn't send those
