Our Hamburg died the day we left on vaca......the people here feeding them couldn't figure out what happened. Then, today, our Silkie, Princess, was running around this afternoon, scratching, whatever....just died. Nothing attacked her, there were no wounds. She wasn't old, probably a year only. It's not hot here, like our usual summers. She has plenty of shade, food, water, shelter. 2 deaths in a matter of a week is too weird, though, isn't it?

I wonder if your feed's got some mold in it or they are getting into something they shouldn't.

It wasn't a raven attack....there was nothing to indicate that. The ONLY thing we thought....our neighbors do have oleanders and there's not much we can do, but put a netting on the fence and clean up as much as we can, but I've not seen the chickens do too much on that side. I'm very sad about my sweet girl.
