They have gaps in the skull and that is why they grow the poof..Not a breed but a defect in Ducks..

Can anyone identify the breed of this duck? She’s beautiful and we’d like to get more of her. She was a very ugly duckling (we got her free on craigslist), her proportions were abnormal and she was a baby poop green. Now she’s a gorgeous grey with the occasional shiny blue feather. She lays green eggs.

She is soooo beautiful!!! Looks so elegant!

Crested Blue Cayuga possibly? Could be a mix.

She is beautiful. Breed her to a non crested male. I would love to see a whole flock of 'her'.

She is a crested duck.... hatcheries don't assign them to an actual breed per se with most of those, but looks swedish in type for the most part...

And she is a blue... blues or silvers are supposed to have dark bills and webs, regardless of actual breed...
