Mystery Ducklings

Hey! A friend found two discarded ducklings at her clinic, so we've taken them in (first time duck owners!). I've been doing some research and my best guess is that the yellow one is a crested perkin and the brown one is a mallard (am I correct?)

An affirmative to the Crested Pekin; the other could either be a Mallard or a Rouen. As they grow, size will be a telltale sign of which it is, because Rouens can weigh around to 8 to 9 lbs., while Mallards are only about 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. Enjoy your duckies. They grow SO fast!

Does it have a little point at tip of bill? It very well could be why you don't like Muscovy? sure looks like it's full of personality, both do.

Lol, just trying to pinpoint what he is and muscovy was my second guess. Here's his bill

I don't think yours is Muscovy maybe Mallard or Rouen but in about a week you should know your lil Pekin will already be larger if it's a Mallard
I just don't think the bill is same as Muscovy i was going to show a pic of one of my babies for comparison but it was still hard to see that little sharp point.

What ever breed be sure to keep posting pics they grow so fast.

[TLWR]

The brown one has a 2nd eye stripe, so you have a mallard. There will be a good size difference between the 2 of them in the next few days.
