He definitely has a blue gene, charcoal head and washed out speculum show that... does she have a blue speculum, or is it faded a bit?

Not blue gene, his head appears green....I have a true Blue charecoal head..
Mine is Amazing

He absolutely does carry a blue gene... even his duckling down pattern color showed blue...

Thanks! He's a pretty boy, but an odd one. He does have some streaks of a green sheen on the sides of his head--only the sides. The top is dark charcoal.

She has a blue speculum. Very pretty. I have some other pics on my camera that show their color better-- will post tonight!

Green streaks is just uneven saturation of the blue gene... we see that in blue ducks with occasional black feathers too... he is very handsome!
