MYSTERY!! EGG!!! Could it be........?

I found this picture of a barn owl egg ~ looks similar to yours! The The Avian Reconditioning Center in Florida actually hatched it in an incubator. I'm not sure of the legalities of hatching an owl on your own ~ it probably is not legal to do it without permits.

You guys are funny! Don't blame the owls for being what they are meant to be! It's not their fault humanity bred docile, vulnerable chickens (for our own uses and pleasure) that are easy pickins for them! Just keep the chickens safe and let the poor owls be....

Yeah, that's one ugly baby. But I agree, they are beautiful when grown. I'd try it. You could always donate him to a zoo or something.
