Spoiler: a little bit of blood warning

the little guy is out and still alive, but there is quite a bit of blood. do you think it’s alright to put him back under her now or should I wait until tomorrow?

Okay, so chick doesn’t get to go out under mom just yet. The bleeding is stopping and I sprayed it with vetericyn ( the navel ). I put a paper towel down under him, so he isn’t on the plastic incubator floor. The lil guy is lively, so there’s that

Yeah, i have to work in the mornings until 2, so I’ll see how it is then. I haven’t even checked Miss Prissy tonight to see how many more have hatched, but I think it’s best if I don’t until tomorrow. My dad shut the coop up tonight and he said Miss Prissy was still on the nest.

Lil guy is still alive thus far…he’s on the snooze cruise right now. I’ll check him again when I’m supposed to get up for real

Well, Miss Prissy stopped sitting sometime today and nobody called to ask me what needed to be done. The eggs that hadn’t hatched yet were left in the nest and they were cold when I got off work. I put them in the incubator, but I don’t have high hopes. One of the eggs was the nail polish one.

On a brighter note, she does have 6 chicks now. I’m going to be moving her out of the box soon since she’s done sitting. The chicks are getting restless
