MYSTERY!!... EXPERT OPINION NEEDED... one year old black copper maran hen has NEVER laid an egg...

Not all hens do lay eggs. As @sourland mentions, she may have some deformity or reproductive problems.
I have two hens here that have never laid an egg in their lives. One is 7 years old and the other is now about 3 years old.
They will hopefully live to a ripe old age because of the very fact they don't lay eggs.
They do tend to put on weight easily though.

If she is lowest in the pecking order, that may be a reason. I have a 2 year old hen that is lowest in pecking order, and I'm pretty sure she has never laid an egg. She seems healthy; I just think she's emotionally repressed. She is one of 2 bantams, and I'm 99% sure that the other banty has laid all the tiny eggs.
--- But her comb is bright red now, so we shall see if she starts laying this spring.

Clearly, you are asking about a chicken, but I figured I'd put in that I have a call duck who is two(or three, I forget) years old and has never laid an egg, but she is perfectly happy and healthy. Some just don't lay.

Were the eggs good and dark?
Her comb and wattlage is plenty red.
I'd be poking her in the butt...

...if you free range she may be laying elsewhere than the coop nests.
Also agree it may be a time of year thing.

The egg she hatched from was a very nice deep chocolate brown colour. I did check her vent and she is dry. She hasn't been free ranged at all this winter so she cant be laying anywhere else.

I have a black copper marans pullet that has not laid yet either. She will be a year old in a couple of weeks. Her hatchmates all started laying last fall. I think Marans tend to be high on the list of breeds that are unpredictable as to when they will start. (I would *almost* go so far as to say that "better bred" ones tend to be even slower!)
By looking at the pics though, I would agree with Sourland, I bet she will start soon. Pretty girl.

My lavender maran looked "ready to lay" for 3 months before she actually started to lay. I do think marans are slower than other breeds. My white maran was the last of her hatch-mates to lay as well.
