Mystery from My Pet Chicken

I ordered a snowy Easter Egger that they did not have any the day of hatch.

I ordered 8 birds...

Black Copper Marans (banded)
Double laced Barnevelder (banded)
Partridge Penedesenca (banded)
Cuckoo Bluebar
Blue Cuckoo Marans
Speckled Sussex
Golden Campine
Partridge Olive Egger

The chipmunk patterns are the barnevelder (banded and the one in pic 6), the penedesenca, the speckled Sussex and the Golden campine. They’re easilynidentifiable as their breed.

I suppose even if they called me to say they didn’t have any and I said just ship it short, I still got one and didn’t get an olive egger.

Weird! I got both a snowy ee and partridge oe from MPC in April and yours definitely looks more like my ee. The oe was a chipmunk chick. Maybe that's a splash version of a cuckoo marans or bluebar? Though you seem to have a couple blue chicks in there...

My guess is that they had an unexpected snowy ee hatch at the last minute and threw that in without updating you. Was your oe a substitute for the ee?

What a mystery! Please update us as she grows!

Kind of flighty compared to the other birds. Thinking frost white Legbar?

Well.... who would’ve guessed.

I got a white partridge olive egger! I emailed these 8 wk old pics to My Pet Chicken and they said a very small percentage of the partridge olive egger hybrids come out all white like this! I realized with the white legs she probably was not a White Legbar.

Mystery solved, I’ll update this thread in a few months when she lays an egg.
