Mystery Mix Breed and Suspected Rooster

Hi!

I don't know anything about breeds and just a bit about sexing, but I am curious about this one. Can anyone guess the mix of breeds happening here? The age? The sex?

I thought this one was about 6-7 months old, but I am now suspecting it might be a bit younger and a rooster, not a hen as I'd been told.

Anyone have ideas about this one?

Looks alot like the production red boys I got as packing peanuts. They were nice friendy boys, but had to be sent to freezer camp due to excessive boys.

It is a cockerel. As to breeds involved??????

It's not crowing and there is no hint of spurs, can you tell me what makes you say cockerel? My suspicians were raised because t it is taller and leaner than my other two hens, longer legs.

With saddle feathers it is almost 100% boy. Looks like it should crow anyday.

He is starting to show the tail feathers of a male plus the pointy saddle and hackle feathers of a cockerel.
