Hi all, newbie question, but I'd welcome your help. I ordered chicks from MacMurray around the beginning of August and checked the box for "free rare chick" and received this little guy / gal.

Any thought or ideas of breed? I'm guessing its a pullet and we're at about 7 or 8 weeks.

Easter Egger and if the comb is really that well defined and red at just seven or eight weeks it's probably a roo.

An EE is considered a "rare" chicken? Wow...I'd be disappointed in the hatchery. Luckily, he is a gorgeous bird... [IMG]
