Mystery TSC Pullet

Quote:
I got some chicks at TSC that were marked down to $1 last year and labeled as Golden Comets. They look very similar to this one and I'm almost certain that they were not Golden Comets and were Amberlinks. They are mostly white with some brown flecking in their tail feathers that looks like dirt and a little bit of brown on their wings. They lay beautiful dark colored brown eggs. Could be what yours are.

I asked the lady at TSC about the Tetra Tints and she didn't know a whole lot about them so she called Mt Healthy while I was there.
The Tetra Tints are a yellow chick and are a cross of a white leghorn and something else. (the person at the hatchery didn't know much about them either, but they are especially bred for TSC. She said they will lay quite well (likely thanks to the leghorn in them and their eggs will be tinted between a white and brown color. That's really all they could tell us.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking maybe Amberlink, too, but I can't find any pictures of Amberlink chicks.
The BSLs I got from TSC are really small, too. They are obviously the same age as the others, about two weeks old, but half the size! Could they be bantams? Like, part bantam RIR and part bantam Barred Rock? Anybody heard of this?

Sadly, I think they are Cornish Rocks. Their legs are getting really thick, and they're growing fast.
I kind of hate TSC now for mislabeling them. Thinking back, the chicks in the bin labeled "Cornish Rocks" were more red. It seems like they would know how to tell them apart, though. I mean, if they don't do that then what exactly are they getting paid for?
Anyway, the good Feed & Seed down there has RIRs and GLWs. My school was counting on some started pullets (there are llamas, sheep, etc there), so I'm having my mom pick up six RIRs for them and a GLW for me.
I'm also raising some of them for my mom's friend, who had a farm. So I'm giving her three BSLs, an Australorp, and a Golden Comet. And then I'll have a Buff Brahma roo, a BSL, a SLW, an EE, and a GLW.
It kind of works out better for me, though. I absolutely love Wyandottes, and this way I'll get to have two.
I'm keeping them til they're 8 weeks, then my mom's boyfriend said he will process them for us. I've had the idea to raise ten-fifteen White Rocks for meat and have him kill them, so I guess this will be like "practice"

. I'm not too attached to them, I had my doubts, I was mostly worried about my sister being upset. She wasn't. See, she's terrified of turkeys. I had her look at the chicks' huge legs, and she literally screamed and ran to wash her hands (?).

Thanks
