In the Brooder
So I recently was gifted some chicks I believe they are about 2 weeks old now. I noticed that one of the Mystic onyx had a toe that is completely folded under. It seems to walk ok, maybe favoring that foot a little. Is there something I should do for that or just wait and see? I was thinking of just removing that toe being as how it feels like it's not attached by bone, but I'm not sure. If I were to remove the toe, how would I go about that exactly? I mean I'm a medical assistant for people and can probably just use some suture scissors to amputate it, as it's toe is so tiny. I just don't want to cause it pain or make it worse. Will post pics as soon as it's light enough outside to do so... Thank you for taking the time to read this, any and all help/advice is much appreciated.
