Mythbusters

an old timey way of cleaning ear wax out an ear that was used, was to light a small candle and put the unlit end in the ear. the "wicking" effect would bring the softer wax of the ear up the wick in place of the harder candle wax and it cleans the ear.

anything that burns like grease, wax, oil will burn as a "candle"

what they have done on mythbusters is twisted a time tested procedure from the early 1900s and twisted it for entertainment.

OMG I watched it last night and 'bout threw up over the ear wax thing. I had to clean mine out when the commercials came on. Duct tape cannon was better than the bamboo one and I was alittle embarassed how much I knew about star trek. Dirty Jobs shares number one of my fav. shows with Mythbusters. Bizzare foods is no. two. I feel demented.

Pawn Stars is one of my new favorites! That Chumely! Not sure how he ties his own shoes in the morning! LOL!!!

A lot of that is staged drama. Like when somebody distracted Chumly and he put the ball and chain through the glass display case. I was telling the boys that it had to be staged. Why would the cameras follow him to put it away? Why would they have a camera on the fellow that distracted him and another camera getting a well composed shot of him dropping it through the display case?

Or when the fellow put the antique chair in the back of the truck and forgot to close the tailgate, smashing the chair to bits. A lot of well placed cameras there, too.

Yeah I saw that chair the other night, but never did see it fall out the truck, just him putting it in and then seeing it in bits on the ground, I wonder if it even fell out of the truck or it it was staged to look like it did.

I was very impressed with that semi-truck a guy brough in (volvo) with the sit down and eat table, fridge, bed - dang that thing was awesome!
