Myths of quail egg health benefits

Iron and B12 are where quail eggs do better than chicken eggs by weight. Both of these mineral/vitamins will make you feel like you have more energy. (That's why most energy drinks pack their formulas with B12)

However, when they say "it's all in your head," it means something. For me, I believe I have more energy. I believe I'm helping the earth and that alone is worth all the effort.

I believe quail eggs are neutral, chicken eggs are acidic and duck eggs are alkaline. I think there are some traditional asian diets that break food into groups of hot cold and neutral, and quail eggs are neutral, chicken are hot and ducks are cold.

Are you talking about actual pH measurements? (7 is neutral, lower numbers are acidic, higher numbers are alkaline.)

I had never heard that before, so I went looking online.

I'm finding that eggs of all three species have alkaline whites (slightly alkaline when layed, then increasing over the next few days, up to pH 9.2), while the yolks are fairly close to neutral (very slightly acidic: pH of 6.5)

I find those numbers being referenced, measured, and checked in a variety of scientific papers, with dates spanning several decades. They are pretty consistent across that time, and across all three species.

I don’t doubt it, I’ve never researched it myself, just telling you what I’ve been told. Upon googling it I found varying results, yes they’re alkaline, or they’re acidic etc.

I did find this, which claims a first hand test of the allergy issues:

I've actually been studying this for years... there are amazing research findings! A paper out of Scotland a few years ago had some pretty remarkable things to say about the health benefits overall. Protein especially has been studied extensively.

As to allergies, I'm living proof. I've gone from landing in the hospital with intense allergic reactions to pollen, to not even having to think about it, and I didn't know about this when I started raising them so I'm not having placebo results.

It's worth doing the research, there are papers published all over the world and America is sadly way behind on this.
If you could post some of the papers that would be nice thanks.

Quail egg nutrient composition is a bit different than that of a chicken egg (higher yolk ratio). However, these small eggs being decadently packed with protein is false. I'm curious, have others heard this rumor, too?
I never heard of that, i just got absolutely fascinated by the tiny eggs in the grocery store and BEGGED my mom to buy them as a kid. I like the taste of them a little better than chicken eggs but thats personal preference.
