Sorry to hear about your polish Stina. I had a few minor disasters...When I got home & looked in the chick box, my frizzle polish were all bald

I had to look twice. I was like, what happened? There wasn't a feather in the box. I think the rumpless Araucana chicks ate them. I put some calamine lotion on the poor little guys, & gave them their own brooder. They head feathers are starting to grow back.
Hows ever body's turkeys doing? Mine were catching something. I think do to the weather. They were hunched up looking sleepy all the time. I gave them a shot of Tylan 50 as soon as I got them home. Their all doing great now. They've doubled in size.....I hope every one else's birds are all doing well......................Chris

I have more frizzle Polish girls and would be happy to give you one. We'd just have to figure out how to get her to you. How are the other chicks looking?

Stina, so sorry for your losses. We've lost the 2 bantam WCB polish chicks, 1 Spitzhauben chick and 1 sebbie gosling that we got from chicken stock. That makes 4 out of 8 babies that we lost.

So hard to lose your babies.

OH no! Thats awful that people lost chicks!

So far (knock on wood) we've been good, I was positive I would kill the Lav Silkies since that was the most I had ever spent on a chick!

My Polish and Ameraucanas keep escaping the brooder and running around the basement!

I *did* briefly loose my Black Split Silkie Roo, he got out of the pen, and forgot where he lived. I spent an hour looking for him, figured something ate him, and then found him later when I was doing something else. He had gotten into the old pen I used last year for chicks, and couldn't find the door?

My remaining chicks all look perfectly fine...eating and drinking....only the last polish I have is looking slightly iffy...but it looked more iffy last night and has been eating and drinking. My only guess is that it had something to do with the small amount of food left? **shrug** I'm certainly upset about it...not something you want to come home from vacation to!

Thank you so much for the offer of a replacement gretchen! I will definitely take you up on that...but yeah, we'll have to figure out transport......We have friends in Baltimore that may be coming up this way soon....perhaps they could get her from you before they come up? I'm not sure when that would be though....we have a lot of traveling and stuff coming up soon (we will be having someone come to take care of everyone)....I hope that I can work something out....your birds are gorgeous and I'm so upset I lost my little girl!

to Stina and froggie71 and anyone else who lost babes from chickenstock. It is so hard to lose our babies. But know they are over the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us to join them someday.
So far so good here all are growing and are so cute and sweet. Thanks to all for my new sweet babes.
