Did the Quail hatch and die, or just not hatch? I did find that they're a zillion times easier to kill then the chickens! I had the best batches when I just did Quail and not Quail mixed with other things... I have a batch in now, and I'm 90% sure I killed the whole batch. They just seem to be less forgiving of temp and humidity swings. I did read that you shouldn't incubate them with chickens, that they're less resistant to germs chickens carry?

My last batch I killed most of them, only a few made it out, and for some reason they all died but one. I thought that one was a goner for sure, when one of the older Polish chicks got in that brooder and laid it open!

It did make it though!

I've killed two batches of Bobwhite quail already, and I'm on batch #3 now (It don't look good!)

Anyways, shoot me a email if you want some more Quail, I have loads you can just have for whatever it costs to ship, I've never shipped them though, how do folks ship Quail eggs???

I did get a spiffy new bator for my Bday though, so hopefully my egg killing days are behind me!
