I have chicks that were sired from a type of naked neck rooster. Two of the hatched chics have the same bald spots on there neck as the rooster. Is it safe to assume they will be roosters also

Not necessarily. The breed is called Turken and they are known for their naked necks...hens and roos! I don't care for this breed as I like my chickens with full feathering.....

actually they are not called turkens they are called naked necks and no you will not know if they are roosters until they get older.

Naked Necks or Turkens...I have seen them called both. Look it up on the net.....Turkens "Naked Necks"

Turkens is a term made up by hatcheries to infer they are turkey chicken crosses, which of course is not true but it was a marketing tactic. Naked Neck is their true name, look it up in the SOP.

I call mine Turkens, don't care where the name originated....Naked neck just seems like an obvious observation to me
