I have some chickens that are just over a year old. When I ordered them I ordered Rhode Island Hens, I also have White Leghorns but they have not lost near as many feathers as my brown ones. , they are loosing feathers. some lost just a few and some lost most of them, and they are not growing back. They have been this way for a few months now, I am pretty sure it is not a molt (not old enough) but I suppose it could be. Are they lacking something, or do they have mites or something? I keep powder in there and they dust themselves often and I powder the roosts, and floor every so often. It almost seems like they start to grow but then within a day or so they are slicked clean again? are they eating them? what could they be lacking if anything.
