I did some on line searching last fall because my neighbor wanted some and found hatching eggs, I think in Michigan. He ordered them and hatched them. Now I am hatching some eggs for him from his chickens. They are some good looking birds. They are reds.

Have you had trouble with them hatching? My neighbor and myself have had trouble with them getting out of the egg and dying in the shell. Like they are weak or something? I was wondering if this is something common with this breed.

Only when I breed the ones that have little or no tuft on the front of their necks. I usally cross those to non turkey necks. Seems to be an issue with the gene. I know this sounds weired and I have a great incubator that hatches everything fine except I have the issue your having with the TNs. Try using setting hens instead. they hatch much better this way for me.
