Hi! This is Gretchen, a Naked Neck that I bought as a chick. She was supposedly sexed as a pullet but I think she looks like a rooster. Can anyone tell? She’s about 14 weeks old, but I’ll including photos showing her “growing up” in case that’s helpful.

If you answer and you have time to explain to me why you think/know it’s a certain gender, please share! I’m new to chickens and the explanations really help me. Thank you!

The really large & red comb & wattles, as well as the saddle feathers: long thim pointy feathers that drape over each side in front of the tail. Those feathers are male specific. I agree Male.

Just curious: I've been looking at them, a lot...where did you get yours?
They're available at several hatcheries.. some run their colors together.. others have them separated.

If you answer and you have time to explain to me why you think/know it’s a certain gender, please share
Others have said it well already but.. male specific saddle feathers (on non hen feathered breeds) can start as early as 10 ish weeks.. but usually around 12 and often well by 16.. so at the stated age of your boy his saddle feathers are indeed confirming what his comb and waddles are screaming..

from google images..
