Naked neck chicks with no naked neck?

Lucky wife.
They're one of her favorites. I said something about them and I guess my confusion about how their eggs got in there came off as being disappointment.
Then I got the old "you know you can hatch something besides d@mn leghorns all the time."
Hum, maybe someone slipped a few in with my sussex or rhodebar eggs.
HAHA. but on a side not how are leghorns over all? thinking of adding some white eggers to my big lot of brown eggers.

Clever, My hubby didn't care for chickens one way or the other, but he liked mountain climbing, I wanted to order ebay eggs, so I said, I want Spitzenhauben eggs because they are Swiss mountanin chickens, I got my eggs.
LOL I just tell my husband happy wife happy life and dinner normally gets me what I want ;) he's so good to me tho so I don't use that often unless I really really want something lol.

View attachment 1340027 I would love to breed my frizzle with a NN, she molts, and her neck is naked a lot. her dad used to molt and look like he didn't wear any pants while chasing hens. I wish I had a pic of that. Dad is below.View attachment 1340040
Does anyone have NN and meat chickens mixed? I hear they are nude.
Oh wow your Frizzle looks exactly like my friends Frizzle bantam, Alice.
I think my little mottled Cochin chick is turning out frizzled.

Funny I was on this thread then last night I heard some peeping in one of the incubators so took a peek and saw a couple NN chicks in there.
Funny part is that I didn't put an NN eggs in there. Well I apparently did but unsure where they came from since I didn't intentionally put any in there.
I mark all eggs so tonight if they're done hatching I'll have to solve the mystery.
I sold the cockerel I posted on page one maybe a month ago. The eggs in the incubator at that time were not from my chickens, they were from another farm. I was totally unaware of what breeds they have. What hatched? Another naked neck, right after I sold the first one. If this one is a girl, she gets to stay, so maybe more surprises for me in the future, too.

Looks like we hatched 4 NN.
Kids found a nest of eggs that they thought were call duck eggs. I was at work at the time so told them to date and put in incubator. I checked and 4 were duck eggs and 5 were chicken.
No idea who's they are since we"ve got a few different NNs roosters and hens.
Like Christmas in April. 32° out right now so does feel like winter still.

I just hatched a FBC marans x nn. She has the coloration of the marans and feathered shanks, but naked neck. I call her a “turkarans”. This was the only egg I got to see zip and hatch...I just put a bunch in the bator and had no idea what the brown ones were. When she first unfolded, I was like “oh god it’s deformed”...then I was like “awwwww! A little naked neck!” I had no idea the NN gene would carry through.
