I'm afraid I already know the answer but I would appreciate any guesses! To picture is of the saddle feathers (I think), second one is of "Lydia's" face. Lydia is about 16-18 weeks old.

Thank you!

We have a second naked neck as well. She's definitely a pullet as she's been laying eggs for about two weeks. A steady one day. We're very proud of her as she's the first of our girls to lay. She is larger than the Lydia but I am afraid you're probably correct in that Lydia is a roo. NNs are probably the most fun, personable chickens we have.

Thank you for the info,
Karen

Oh well, I was afraid of that.

So, does anyone know someone in the DFW area (or surrounding areas). That would love a wonderfully, friendly, affectionate, beautiful boy?

I'm not sure on the mix. We purchased him from a gentlemen in Poetry, TX who has several breeds running about. I agree, he is a beauty! Any ideas on the mix?

could be. i know that he has americaunas as we have one of his hens.

I agree with rooster. If you have other naked necks or really like naked necks, you should check out the naked neck/turken thread in the breeds, genetics section of this forum. You will see all kinds of combinations with naked necks.I have a frizzle naked neck and I am in the beginning stage of a frizzle crested naked neck(naked neck polish).Check it out.
