OOOOH frizzles!
How old are they? How long until you think you can tell?

My NN story started about a year ago when I received a pair of NN's. I got a black rooster and a gray hen (I had to sell the roo 'cause he was very mean and we only ever got male NN's from him and never a female oh, yes and all the chicks were black...)So we were left with the gray hen. We would once in a while get a NN chick from her but they were all also roo's (huge problem) so then yesterday when i went and checked up on her i noticed that she actually had a hen NN chicks! I went crazy and i was running around and jumping up and down but anyway, I have done everything in my place to keep that little chicken alive!
So yes and it isn't black it is a beautiful brown color so i hope it lives and has a happy ever after...

X2! But sadly they were all roo's!Congratulations... But black NNs is one of my favorite colors!
Oh ok, I never knew that! Anyway my roo was still very mean so i had to get rid of him!Actually your hen determines the sex of the chicks not the rooster. I like blach, white, light reddish, and the buff columbians. Right now I have a salmon rooster and two partridge hens with kne being mottled also, a red and kne is what I call salmon buff.
I have a genetics quandary I am mulling over. My head roo is shakespear he is NaNa w/ a very bare neck just 2ish feathers. He does not show fm, not sure if he carries or shows under feathers (so not showing much but still has it) I think is some form of barred / birchen and do not believe he carries sc. He however is a good natured, good protector roo.
I have an up and comer, looks like he will be bigger then shakespear, carries and shows good fm (for a male) carries sc, is some form of odd but very pretty markings, but is only Nana, w/ a large bow tie/ bib. His temperament is unknown at this time since he isn't mature.
I have several NaNa females w/ just a couple of neck feathers so if I replace shakespear I won't lose that genetics.
